About Russian Blue

The cats of Russian Blue race have extraordinary fur. It is grey-blue with a silver polish. The colour is created by the tips of hair without pigment. The fur is thick and short, silky and soft as plush. It makes us so easy to touch and cuddle them. The fur is easy to keep it clean. Suffice is to comb it with a rubber brush or to stroke it to remove dead hair. Moreover when the cats are properly fed and nursed they lose little amount of hair.

Their bodybuilding is medium and silhouette is slim. The tips of their paws are in colour of lavender.

When the cats are newborn, the colour of their eyes is blue. Then the colour turns into yellow-green and finally is deep green. The time of the colour conversion is different.

One cannot say that the cats of this race have no temperament, but usually they are well behaved. They love company of people as well as other cats. They are very sociable and like taking part in all home duties and undertakings. The cats are very cheerful and intelligent. There is no problem to teach them walking with a lash. If you provide them something to scrape they do not destroy furniture. The other way to avoid any devastation is cutting their nails regularly. Little cats can be separate from the mother after 12 weeks since their birthday. It is very important because during this period of time the mum-cat teaches her children the proper hygiene and good manners. When you have got lots of free time such a cat would be a wonderful company for you. But when you are rather busy I suggest you to have two cats, not to let your cat to long for you all the day. Two cats could play together waiting for their loved owner.
